Traffic Act Etymology

Traffic Act was born in March 2009 as a digital marketing agency. Marketing is about people; about changing people’s behaviour. The psychology of changing behaviour is a very interesting topic as the only way to shift behaviours is to get people to “act”.

We can’t just feed consumers emotional messages, but we need to get them engaged and participating and then… voila!… then you have a chance of changing their behaviour.

When we started the company we were predominantly a search marketing consultancy. We helped our clients driving traffic to their websites. But large numbers of traffic in themselves are meaningless, it needed to be traffic that “acts” on the value proposition. Hence the name “Traffic Act”
